The Opportunity for Landowners

Vale Energy engages with landowners and farmers to develop suitable sites for standby generators to balance the grid at times of high demand.



What you need?


Land should be brownfield, poor quality agricultural land, previously used for industry, or land sited alongside existing commercial buildings and have a 3 Phase 33kV grid connection or a substation close to the proposed site.


Location: Peaking Plants only operate for short durations.  The ideal location would have no immediate residential neighbours due to potential noise.


Area of Land: The area of required is in the region of acre and have good road access.  Ideally it should be at least 300m from the nearest house


Land Ownership: You need to own the land and have the ability to lease it to Vale Energy for a period of 25 years.

400 – 2000kWe generators and controls.

Fuel systems with 42 hours of storage tanks and fuel delivery.

Security lighting and CCTV monitoring.


Design, Procurement, Installation & Testing.


Civil works – Concrete plinth, cable ducting, waste interceptor, acoustic security fencing.
